Value Inns and Suites include Universal Endless Summer Resort, Surfside Inn and Suites and Dockside Inn and Suites. Prime Value Hotels include Aventura Hotel, Stella Nova Resort, Terra Luna Resort, and Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Sapphire Falls Resort and Helios Grand Hotel are part of the Signature Collection, but Sapphire Falls prices out at a more moderate level and neither one includes Express, so each has its own choice. The Signature Collection with Express choice covers Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, and Royal Pacific Resort, the only three hotels that include Express Unlimited for Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. No hotel includes Express for Epic Universe, which always has to be purchased separately. Prices are per room, per night, and the ranges cover the hotels in each group.
A week long stay of 7 nights gives you time to see all the parks at a relaxed pace. Universal also often offers discounts for extended stays, so a longer stay can sometimes cost less than a shorter one. If you are unsure how many nights to choose, I would be happy to work through the options with you.
Most families enjoy two days at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure together, and Epic Universe on its own deserves a full day. Choosing every day of your stay is the best value if you would like to be in the parks throughout your vacation. If you do not plan to visit Epic Universe, or only plan to visit it for one day, annual passes may make sense for your family. Even getting an annual pass for one person in your group can unlock a room discount. I am happy to discuss those options with you separately.
Visiting Epic Universe takes a different type of ticket than Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, so we need to know if it is on your list. Choosing Epic Universe means one of your park days is spent there.
A Park to Park ticket lets your family visit more than one park in a single day, and it also lets you ride the Hogwarts Express train between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Without it, your ticket gets you into one park each day. Tickets for 4 or more park days are always Park to Park tickets.
Volcano Bay is Universal's water park, and it can be added to your theme park tickets. Please note that Volcano Bay is closed for maintenance from October 26, 2026, and is expected to reopen on or before April 1, 2027, so it will not be available for trips before it reopens.
Include everyone ages 10 and up in your party. This calculator covers parties of up to 8 guests. If your group is larger, please reach out so I can calculate your costs and options.
Children ages 2 and under are included with your room count, but they do not need a ticket to enter the parks.
Express Pass lets your family stand in a significantly shorter wait than the regular line, and the price changes a lot by date. It is optional, and many families enjoy a trip without it. Choose how many park days you would like Express on at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Your next step is choosing Express Limited or Express Unlimited. Express is priced per person, per day. I also have a great way to save money on Express Pass, so please reach out to me for more information.
Express Limited lets you skip the regular line once per ride. Express Unlimited lets you use the shorter line as many times as you like, and it costs more. It is only available for 1 or 2 days. Both types work in one park, or in two parks on the same day with a Park to Park ticket.
Express for Epic Universe is not included with any hotel, and it is only available as Express Limited, which allows one ride per attraction. If you also chose Express above, the Epic Universe day can be bundled into a multi-day pass for all three parks, which usually costs less than buying them separately. Group transportation takes your family between Orlando International Airport and your hotel, round trip.
A photo package gives your family digital copies of your ride and in park photos, and one package can be shared by your whole group.

Universal does not currently offer a dining plan, so you pay for meals as you go. Prices vary by restaurant, and these are averages.
